A Free Game That Will Help Your Kids For Life

I have to say that I'm a big, big, big fan of education games.

The problem is that most of them are so boring, my kids won't play them.

The NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business) has created a free online game that will help you teach your kids the basics of starting and operating a business.

The game is set up with a couple of cartoon characters that help you get your business started without a hitch. Once you're up and running, the game does a solid job of introducing the basic factors in building a successful business.

As I said, the game is free, so there's no reason not to review it yourself. But the real fun begins when you set up a competitive environment for your kids or school students to try and beat each other in terms of sales and cashflow.

Is organic actually more nutritious?

I guess I never really thought to ask this question, because we always here the words "Organic" and "Healthy" in the same sentence, but what actually makes them healthier?

A friend of mine, DarkPalmer mentioned on his site a video that puts a test to this assumption. The video is titled, "What's For Lunch" and it is an entertaining look at the assumptions a lot of people have about the safety of food and biotechnology.

There are also some nutritionists and food safety experts who make the case that in terms of nutrition, the only difference between Organic and Non Organic foods is the price.

OPEC Has a Bridge To Sell You – for about $500 Billion

OPEC has a bizarre story to tell you. The reason for the high oil prices is because the United States is developing competing fuels that lower our dependency on foreign oil.

Yeah, I’m not buying it either.

Reaction is fast and furious. The World BioFuels Industry has published an open letter to answer these ridiculous claims in the Financial Times last week.

You can get some background on this, as well as a link to a copy of the letter here: www.goodfuels.org/opec.

Declare Your Energy Independence!

american-flag-2a.jpg

Happy 4th of July. Today we celebrate our Independence from England, but unfortunately, not our independence from the Middle East.

As we all know, we are completely tied to Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, etc because we need oil. Yeah, that black stuff that costs $146 per barrel last I saw.

We can start to get off of the Oil Dependence by developing our Ethanol industry. You can get involved by signing this petition: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/declare-july-4th-energy-independence-day

If you want more information on why Ethanol is good (despite what you probably see on TV), you can get more info at http://www.drivingethanol.com/.

Oh, and have a cold one for me!

Obama Paying off Hillary's Debt

Sen. Barack Obama will make his first campaign appearance with Sen. Hillary Clinton on Friday.

Gotta say that's awful nice of Obama to pay off Hillary's debt. Do you think he'll pay off my credit card?

Apparently this is how he plans to get Hillary supporters to vote for him. Will it work? Who knows?

Is the News Too Old?

It really is true that many young men don’t even watch the evening news, but that isn’t to say they aren’t reading it online.

If you’re looking for a new outlook on the world, check out The Onion (http://www.theonion.com/). This satirical look at the media, politics, sports, and our human condition is so weird, you’d almost swear it was real.

In fact, many of the subjects ARE real, and that’s what makes the stories so much fun.
Don’t miss the special coverage of the Presidential Election: http://www.theonion.com/content/whitehousewar
